Just in time for APP and Hell City, Steve is unveiling new implant designs.

If you would like to book an appointment, please contact us so we can get you scheduled.

For everyone who has asked to be implanted with suspension hooks, Steve has come up with a silicone way of doing so. These are modeled from and with the exact same dimensions as an 8 gauge suspension hook.

Next is this elegant starfish design, two inches in size.

And finally, new “brass knuckle” silicone implants – one life-sized for chest placement (4 and 3/4 by 3 inches) and another smaller design more appropriate for hands (2 and 1/2 by 1 and 1/2 inches).

Steve’s hand shows the relative sizes of the two implants.

Dani has been getting modified for over ten years now. Two of her more recent modifications include transdermal antenna as well as ear pointing. Below I have included a picture of both left and right ears after pointing and one before picture in the middle to show the contrast. Danny has also had her tongue split and of course her cross implant in the center of her chest.

Katri sent me the great photos below, thank you Katri!

So 2009 was better then 2008 and 2008 was MUCH, MUCH better then 2007, so I think we will have a great year coming a head. 2009 was SO busy for us that this years ANTI-Wedding was “The Last Minute ANTI-Wedding” at 10 minutes before midnight. I am becoming an expert at packing us for trips and I don’t know how many cities we were in last year. So many of you have been so gracious to us in helping Steve and I that I want to give a huge shout out to you all… if you think you may be one of them… odds are you are on the list of RAD people and you are very appreciated. So many of you touched Steve and I through kind emails and helping us get red bull/mountain dew even… We really appreciate it and I sincerely hope our friendship have been equally reciprocated by us. Thanks a MILLION!

There has been so much to tell you all and so much in the works but keeping up with Steve and our new additions to the home, Steve’s Dad (Chet), Samorah and our grandson Devon (Junior’s Son), things have been busier then usual this time of the year. Life in The House of Haworth is beautiful but there is the on going joke with our friends now of asking us how long we are in town for, smart asses. It’s true, Thanks to H 2 Ocean helping us by sponsoring our travel we are able to travel more and teach more. H 2 Ocean has been helping the industry for years and not just for a profit, but because they do really want education to get out there. I know Steve honestly loves the product and supports it fully, but the fact that H 2 Ocean has done so much to help educate and sponsoring various artists to help our community… That just makes us appreciate their work that much more. You all are AMAZING!

SIDE NOTE: We are doing our best to scatter our trips so if you catch us near you we may not be back. Catch us while you can… more info on that later.

This year I formally began one of many Reiki apprenticeships I will be doing. I’m really proud of myself for the chance to learn a craft that is what I believe to be so closely related to body modification. By the end of 2010 I will be formally trained in 4 forms, if not more, and I will begin teaching. It’s been an exciting year of growth and I was even asked to do an energy workshop at The Sangre Fria Suscon that was specifically designed for energy work during suspensions. I was very honored they asked and many people gave me such good feedback. It’s been very interesting. More on the Europe trip later. 2010 will be an exciting year.

We threw many Fetish Balls here in Scottsdale this for the scene and James did an amazing job with the line ups all year long. I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us this year! It’s a lot of work throwing them but I know James, Steve, Mitch and I really appreciate the support from the scene and the thank yous from you all. AZ Fetish Ball also had brought out some of LA and San Diego’s sexiest Pro-Domme’s to perform for you from The Dungeon Servitus F/family. You picked Sybil to win the flyer girl contest so she is on this flyer for the next show in February AND these sultry Domme’s are working up an extra special show for Fetish Revolution 10. The Rubber Doll and FAQ were a huge hit and we may try to bring them out to a private party for invites only on our mailing list. I am talking with some of my favorite performance artists now to bring them out this year as well. You know us, time to change it up!

BTW: PHX PRODUCERS: You have an amazing side show act touring the US and will be here on May 22nd if you want to have them. Our show is the week after or else I wouldn’t be giving them up. Here is a link:

http://www.myspace.com/helsinkisideshownight

Looking through last years planner makes me grateful for all of the experiences. The Hell City Conventions were AMAZING and the fact that I got to suspend in my home town at a 5 star resort was the best! Thanks Durb and everyone who runs the Hell City Conventions. You guys go out of your way to make so much fun. The Dallas Suscon and Allen’s 40th Birthday Party was such a good thing for the community as well. I was really happy to see so many people put aside any differences and learn and work together. That was really admirable of him to set down his work and put that together for us. The APP last year was amazing and it was so great that they asked Steve to come and do one of his lectures and sit in on the Round Table for Ethics… It’s really great to see a more unified path starting to flow with in our community of Body Modification. Steve is very excited to be coming back to the APP this year to teach again.

Steve and I also got the opportunity to represent the community on the cable TV show Dr. 90210 Premier on the E! Channel. (For those of you who don’t know E! is an entertainment channel that caters to a much different crowd the your typical alternative lifestyler). I know Steve wasn’t the only practitioner they were looking at having on the show, and it did seem like we were more of the comic relief, but I think it ended up really great. I have to admit I was quite skeptical about doing it to begin with, considering what he does isn’t surgery, but the contracts were tight and I was very happy they included a lot about how Dani and I have thought about our mods for a long time prior to getting them done. I was really happy that we got a chance to show the difference between the 2 worlds in that show. If nothing else, because we know I’m terrible at interviews, I’m really proud to represent heavily modified women to other women. It’s great to give other women and men something to see that’s different but that they might be able to connect to. So often I hear everyone refer to the various first show they watched. I find it a privilege to be able to share.

I know I already wrote about The European Tour but I hadn’t gotten around to mentioning BMX too much. BMX is a MUST these days for anyone wanting to learn Body Modification. Those guys are working thier asses off to bring everyone together to share and learn with others. I highly suggest you make BMX a priority for June of 2010 in Berlin. As we know more you will know more. It’s great to see the community unifying and sharing information with each other. We have been so impressed with their hard work. Marcus and Isa of Trust Body Modification have really gone out of their way to be loyal friends and help the Body Mod Community grow in Europe… much love to you guys.

I really hope to continue to see everyone working together as much as I did in 2009.

So on to 2010

It’s getting booked up… We will be in Italy for the APTPI in 2 weeks and home in time to get a little more work done and throw a Fetish Ball. Joeltron has taken over distributing to Australia for Steve so that’s great to have to save on shipment orders to everyone in Australia. We know there is a convention in Sydney the 1st weekend of March that we are working on attending but flights over to Australia eat up too much of our budget. We are working on getting there at some point soon.

I am finishing my set of seminars for the public for what they need to know for extreme body mods (Thank you BME and BodyMod.org for pics and Ron Garza for the info!) and Steve can’t keep up with the Gilson Shackle orders coming in. We are trying to finish the SHS Jewelry Line but it’s coming along slowly at this time. Hopefully, we will have catalogs by APP. They have been a huge hit everywhere. Who would have thought that him making jewelry for himself would turn into such a fun thing to do for everyone else. We might do a Sticker Contest or a Photo Contest and see where all of that has ended up. That sounds like fun. Next entry, so get your pics ready of SHS jewelry and stickers from around the world. Hmmm…. Maybe we will do a custom piece for the winner.

I have a ton of emails to answer ASAP and I hope to have answers back before the next two weeks. I knock them down a little and get responses then get more and the next thing I know I have soooooooo many. I will announce when all have been answered. I’m going to also work on an FAQ page to refer to before emailing us. It’s a hard job keeping up with this man! Oh, and everyone waiting on magnet responses… that’s my current project… writing the essay to clear up a bunch of info about it then we can go from there.

Life is busy, as usual, but very productive. As things get finalized I will keep you all posted.

Happy New Year!

While traveling abroad I had the honor of doing a scarification piece on a Lutheran Priest. I have done lots of work on religious figures in the past, but these were usually small and places that were easily concealed. CooKie spoke with the Priest about the idea and concepts of the design as well as the creation of the design and the CooKie did a beautiful job. Likewise the priest also did it beautiful job of being very calm during the work. Ironically this piece is done in Calm body piercing in Stockholm in which Chai and his partner graciously allowed us to use their studio. As you know I very rarely put up pictures of fresh work, I prefer healed work and am looking forward to getting a healed photo of this piece but I thought the story behind it was worth the premature post.

J.D. is a very accomplished piercer, and also very Irish hence three leaf clover. We designed a 3 leaf clover using 3 1/2 hearts silicone glued together. This picture is about 3 1/2 months old. Oh did I mention he’s also a professional martial arts expert? I really like the piece and I really like the fact that a professional fighter properly wrapping a 3-D modification during martial arts training does not hamper or impede his lifestyle. One of the reasons why I am a proponent of cast silicone in the back of the hand. We also did some scarification on his face and forehead.

I don’t mean to brag but being able to have your entire set up rig, hooks and links fit into the same sterilization bag is pretty cool. I do understand the necessity for everything to be disassembled to be properly sterilized I just have everything assembled to show the point. The polished rigs will be up on my eBay site around the middle of next week and will be $60. The long twisted shackles in the picture with the pink rig retail for about $21 each and are rated for 1320 pounds each. The short twisted shackles in the stainless rig picture retail for about $12 each but are rated for 500 pounds each. I will not supply the twisted shackles but I will direct people to web sites that carry them. I have the hell city tattoo convention this weekend and then we leave for Europe on the 14th so I have a lot of work on my plate before I leave. I will not be able to take care of any powder coating until I get back from Europe on the seventh of October.

It is said that the weakest point in suspension rigging is the rope, so why not eliminate it. I designed this rig to work with two Gilson/SHS hooks as shown using two twist shackles which have a weight rating of 1320 pounds each. This design can also be used with rope as the rig itself has very smooth rounded edges on every single surface. I will have these available in about three weeks in polished stainless at the cost of $60 each. The one shown is powder coated pink (obviously for CooKie). Powder coating will be an additional $20. Both the stainless and powder coated versions can be autoclaved. I have had the rig Tensile tested at a metallurgy laboratory and the breaking load was 6422 pounds. Which means that the unofficial static weight rating divided by the typical 5 times for instruments used for lifting people would be 1284.4 pounds. This does not include the dynamic rating but I believe if my calculations are correct the dynamic rating would be somewhere around 400 pounds?
