As promised!

It is said that the weakest point in suspension rigging is the rope, so why not eliminate it. I designed this rig to work with two Gilson/SHS hooks as shown using two twist shackles which have a weight rating of 1320 pounds each. This design can also be used with rope as the rig itself has very smooth rounded edges on every single surface. I will have these available in about three weeks in polished stainless at the cost of $60 each. The one shown is powder coated pink (obviously for CooKie). Powder coating will be an additional $20. Both the stainless and powder coated versions can be autoclaved. I have had the rig Tensile tested at a metallurgy laboratory and the breaking load was 6422 pounds. Which means that the unofficial static weight rating divided by the typical 5 times for instruments used for lifting people would be 1284.4 pounds. This does not include the dynamic rating but I believe if my calculations are correct the dynamic rating would be somewhere around 400 pounds?

Gilson/SHS second generation hooks

August 7th, 2009

Second generation heavy duty Gilson/SHS hooks incorporating a tools free design with a mirror finish. Shackles and hardware are stainless steel and can be autoclaved. The pin is 6 4 titanium with extra long needle guides designed to use 8 gauge needles and taper to 6 gauge and can also be autoclaved. These hooks have been designed to only work with D ring shackles, not quick links. I now have them available in my eBay store http://stores.ebay.com/Steves-Kaos-Connection-Body-Jewelry tomorrow I will show photos of a specially designed rig made specifically for 2 Gilson/SHS hooks which will be available in about three weeks.

Messing around

Liquid implant grade silicone also makes a great glue for implant grade silicone parts before the silicone itself is cured.  I’ve had a few special requests to make custom pieces from parts that I had already produced.  On the left is 2 arm spines, in the middle is a smaller triskelion handpiece, to the right of that is another arm spine and three spinal ribs for the upper bicep.  This whole concept started when cookie had asked for 14 silicone hearts in her forearms.  Now that her forearms are seven months old with no complications and still holding up (the implant grade silicone glue) I believe it is safe to try on other projects.  One of the advantages is, if the silicone glue does come undone your body has already encapsulated the implants so the possibility of drifting or migration is significantly minimized.  Also with the effort that is required to physically tear two glued silicone pieces apart you would practically have to lay down motorcycle to accomplish that while the jewelry was implanted.

Suspend much???

June 17th, 2008

My friend Shawn had me brand a pentagram 6.660 inches wide in the center of his back in mid 2006. You can see he had a few suspension scars when the brand was first completed. At the bottom is a healed photo of his brand taken this week two years old and you can see in two years he has suspended more times than I can count scars.shawn\'s brand

Greetings from Berlin

June 10th, 2008

Dirk from Naked Steel had obtained a set of tools from me and had the opportunity to sit in on a few pieces of work that I was commissioned to do.  The star that he put in her chest looks absolutely fabulous! He is sporting one of my trilobite T-shirts and on his web site I’m sporting one of his Betty T-shirts.

More transdermal facts

June 9th, 2008

So more on my transdermal rants. First I will show a picture of John Gomes he had transdermals for 11 years. After about two years he started to have on and off inflammation problems. After battling with them for the last nine years he had me removed them two months ago.John Gomes

Here is a picture of Hiro. The transdermal on his forehead are nine years old with no problems. His dual metal mohawk is five years old again no problems.Hiro

David Smith has had over 50 transdermal and had one rejection, the red arrow pointing to that rejection. If my math is right that’s 98 percent present and accounted for. The first ones are over 8 years old.David Smith

Sean O’Hare has four transdermals on his forehead that are four years old, no rejection.

JJ a musician in a band called SIL had his transdermal for four years before its was whacked by guitar onstage. This was a second generation transdermal. By the obvious condition it was necessary to remove it. Had it been a third generation transdermal I believe it would have withstood the blow but I had not yet modified transdermals to third generation at that time. Seeing this damage is what prompted me to modify the design.

Shawn had 2 2ga transdermals five years ago, still looking beautiful today.

Daniel had a dual row metal mohawk consisting of 14 transdermals and healed them and two months time with H2Ocean also 5 years old with no rejection.

A great man once said “liars figure but figures don’t lie” I never state my opinion as fact. That being said I will continue to post more about transdermal successes and failures. I have been working for a long time on a very detailed an extensive blog about the magnetic finger implants which will be coming soon detailing the exact facts about the great successes and a few failures revolving around that modification. That blog will be based solely on facts, not emotions, theories, conjectures or rumors.

More transdermals almost a decade old.

Fetish Prom 08 Suspension

June 4th, 2008

Life Suspended did a prom dance theme for Fetish PromBrandy and Vince amazed 1100 people in their ability to look graceful on a spinning beam.  Koz from 313 Suspension Team of Chicago came out for the show and helped.Fetish Prom 08

Funny irony.

June 4th, 2008

We moved into our current house about six months ago and discovered a jackrabbit living in our front yard.  We are about 20 miles from any desert so I thought it was odd to have a desert dweller cohabitating with us.  Then I noticed that its right ear has been split, what are the odds of having a modified jackrabbit nesting next to a truck with a MODIFY license plate.Splity the jackrabbit.

Mercedes’s stars

June 4th, 2008

Mercedes who pierces at Club Tattoo had me brand star outlines from her ankle all the way to her wrist.  The five stars on her calf were done a week earlier and the rest were done that evening. One tough girl.Mercedes\'s stars
